The collaboration began when Stugoe approached TechSoft with a high-level concept and a clear mission, but without a fully defined product. From the early stages, our role was to help transform this initial idea into a practical, scalable, and user-centered platform that addresses real challenges faced by students and hosts alike.
From Concept to a Complete Platform
In traditional student – host matching models, international students often invest a significant amount of money in accommodation without having the opportunity to choose who they will live with. At the same time, hosts- despite having well-maintained and welcoming homes – have little visibility into who will be staying with them. This lack of transparency creates uncertainty and mismatches on both sides.
Working closely with Stugoe, TechSoft helped transform this challenge into a clear product vision. The platform was designed to enable fair, two-way matching, giving students greater choice and confidence while allowing hosts to better understand and select suitable residents. By addressing the needs of both parties, Stugoe moves beyond traditional one-sided placement models toward a more balanced, trust-based approach.
